Obituary for Thomas Spor

Thomas “Tommy” Fearson Spor, 89, passed away on Friday, January 13th. Tommy was predeceased by his parents, Millie Fearson Spor and Joseph John Spor Sr, and his brother Joseph John (Jack) Spor Jr. (Janet). Survived by niece, Jennifer Spor McAdam (Gary) and great-nephew, Jason S. Preston (Diana).
Tommy lived at the Woodbine Developmental Center since 1940. He was a happy man, he loved his tote bags, soft scoochy blankets and balls. In younger years, Tommy was an enthusiastic member of the men’s choir, his favorite songs were “You are my Sunshine”, “He’s Got the Whole World” and “Old MacDonald”. Tommy sang where spoken words failed him. Woodbine’s longest resident, he was loved, well cared for, and popular among the staff, nurses, caretakers, his second family.
