Obituary for Charles Forsstrom
Charles Forsstrom, 73, long-time resident of Tuckahoe NJ, passed away on Friday, October 15th, 2021 from Covid-19. Whether you knew Charles as Chuck, Charlie, or Pops, you knew what a loving, giving and funny man he was. Chuck was a Sergeant in the US Marine Corp, serving our country during the Vietnam War and received numerous honors. Chuck was in the seafood industry for nearly 50 years, owning and operating many businesses. In his semi-retirement, he opened a family business, Martys Crabs, in Quinton NJ. Even though Chuck was a self-made businessman, his family was his first true love. Not only was Chuck an accomplished and respected businessman, but he was also extremely generous to those he knew and those he did not know. One of his greatest joys in life was buying Christmas gifts for those who were in need. He was always there if someone needed a helping hand. Chuck enjoyed many things such as restoring antique cars, his Harley Davidson collection, traveling in his RV with Patty, watching the Flyers games and simply enjoying life with his family. He will be forever missed by his family and friends. Chuck was always “living the dream” and his legacy will never be forgotten.
Chuck was predeceased by his parents, Leonard and Margaret Jamison. He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Patty (Cirigliano) Forsstrom, and his 3 children Chad (Eileen) Forsstrom, Beth Forsstrom, and Kelly (Michael) Wyman and his grandchildren Halle, Jason, and Zoey. Chuck was especially close with his youngest granddaughter Zoey. They were inseparable and did just about everything together. She will miss her PopPop and cherish the 7 years they had together. Also survived by his brother, Ronald (Carol) Jamison, and his 2 sisters: Kip (Curt) Jones, Barbara (Richard) Passwater, his brother in-law and sister in-law, Joe and Sue Cirigliano, and his many nieces and nephews. Also many friends which he considered family. Chuck also leaves behind his many grandpups which he adored.
Please join us to celebrate the life of Chuck on Sunday, October 24th, from 6-8pm at Langley-Loveland Funeral Home in Tuckahoe, NJ. On Monday October 25th, a visitation will be held from 10-11am followed by a service at the funeral home at 11am. Burial will be private. The Forsstrom Family requires masks to be worn.
