Dominic P. Sabato, age 60, of Mays Landing, NJ, passed away on January 19, 2021.
Devoted husband of Joanne (nee Giosia)
Survived by his loving mother, Frances, and the late Peter Sabato and brother to the late Michael Sabato. Loving father of Deonna (Matt), Ryan (Alley), Dominic, David (Jaclyn). Proud grandfather to Makenna, Giovanna and Will. Best friend to his K9 companion Ottie.

Dominic had tremendous love for his family, they meant the world to him. He was so proud of his children and loved passing along his knowledge to them. Especially to his sons for his love of carpentry and coaching them in hockey. His grandchildren lit up his world. Dominic was known for his big heart and loved everyone as if they were family.

Dominic was a proud member of the Avalon String Band and loved marching down Broad Street year after year. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle, trucking, boating and spending time with family and friends.

A visitation will be held Saturday January 30, 2021 from 10 - 11 am at St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish;
Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11am.

In lieu of flowers the family asks to please make a donation to a children’s charity of your choice.

We are so sad to have lost such a great friend. A friend who is part of our family. It is still difficult to comprehend that Dominic is gone. Rick and I want to tell Joanne, Fran and all the kids how sorry we are. We will never forget all the happy hours, dinners or just sitting on the deck talking! Family, friends and Joanne meant everything to Dominic. He will be sadly missed and NEVER forgotten.

I remember way back watching Flyer's games with Pete , Fran, Mike and Dominic. We would be screaming at the TV while eating all the great food Fran made for us. They were great times. We used to get up in the middle of the night to play hockey at the Coliseum at 2am. We went to Devil's games at the Arena and spent countless hours walking the Echelon mall. When I moved in 77 we got together in Wildwood a few times. Dominic was never the little brother, he was one of gang. Some day we will all meet at the rink again. I look forward to it.

Loss is heartbreaking for anyone who was invested in a relationship...My heart breaks for Joanne, my heart aches for Fran, Deonna, Dominic, David and Ryan.
When you meet someone who accepts you - no questions asked even though some of your comments are raw, unexpected and off the cuff, (which would always make Dominic laugh hysterically) you know that person is your person. Sometimes words do not have to be spoken (Dominic was eventually ok with the silence and didn’t take it personally) Your person completely gets you, that is Joanne but eventually Dominic got me too! How blessed was I knowing this man, thank you Jo for bringing him into my life. He loved you so much, we had many talks about it, he loved his mom and completely 💯 loved and adored his kids and their families. Family and friends meant everything to Dominic, if you were lucky enough to be his friend, than you were family to him.
Dominic will be missed and I’m so lucky to have known and love him!

Love you - Lorie, Mom, Lisa, Glen and Glenny

Dear Joanne and Sabato Family,

Words seem so inadequate to express the sadness we feel at the passing of Dominic. We are still so shocked of the news. Our hearts go out to ALL of you during this difficult time of sorrow.

May Dominic REST IN PEACE and fond memories bring you comfort. He will be terribly missed, but NEVER forgotten. Keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.
