James M. Gonzalez, 43, passed away in his home on Saturday, October 5, 2019. James grew up in Galloway, NJ and later resided in Upper Township, NJ. For most of his life, James worked as a landscaper.
A beloved son, brother, and uncle, James had a kind and loving heart. He was willing to help any friend in need. James had a great sense of humor and his smile and laugh were contagious. He enjoyed fishing and other various outdoor activities. James was a great animal lover and even at a young age he was known to bring home a stray cat or kitten. James was most proud of his niece, Mia, and nephew, Matthew, and was always involved in their lives. He was loved by all that new him.
James is survived by his mother, Kathleen Gonzalez (Shelley); father, Thomas Gonzalez; sister, Christina Gonzalez (Dan); nephew, Matthew Hackett; niece, Mia Hackett; grandmother, May Lloyd; Judy Winter, who was like a second mother; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He also had a special relationship with his Aunt Jeannette Berlin (Andy).
A private memorial for family and friends will be held to celebrate James’ life at the Steelmantown Cemetery in Steelmantown, NJ on Sunday, October 27, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. The family asks that donations be made to Beacon Animal Rescue in lieu of flowers.
