Scott Cordell Swayngim
Aug 20,1967-sept 24,2019

With heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Scott C. Swayngim, affectionately known as Scotty and Dee-Dee.

Scott was born in Camden County NJ and raised in Tuckahoe where he resided all his life. He was a graduate of OCHS (1985). Scott was a hard worker of many trades - he was a tractor operator at Tuckahoe Turf Farm, an apprentice plumber for Husky Plumbing, a drywall installer for R.B Drywall as well a groundsman for Robert Brown Tree Service.

He had a love for cars and enjoyed racing his ‘67 Nova at Atco and Bridgeport Raceways. He prided himself in his beloved Jugg Head - his American bull dog who has won medals in dog shows. Scott was very happy in the company of his family and friends. He had a big heart and a personality almost as big as his mouth. Scotty’s memory will be everlasting in our hearts and he will be missed by many and all he knew.

Predeceased by his father Fred C. Swayngim, paternal grandparents Ruth And Fred Swayngim SR., maternal grandparents Jennie and Edmond Paxson, brother Thomas Swayngim, niece Tonya Swayngim and nephew Raymond Blaine.

Survived by mommy Eugenia Swayngim (Dave-POP) siblings Jeanne (Dave) Edmund, Raymond (Crystal) Bob (Cherie) Joan (Bob) John (Tracey) Vicky (Roy) many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Nieces and Nephews Laura, Tommy jr, Erica, Robert, Trisha, Vanessa, Bobby Jr, Ronnie, David, Mikey, Queenie (Sage), Justin, Shannon, Josh as well as many great nieces and nephews. Scott’s family would like to recognize Scott’s extended family John Young (Jen) Kimberly, John, Jordan, Kayla, Colton, and Caden.

A memorial service for Scotty will be held at 1pm on Sunday, October 13th, 2019 at the Langley Loveland Funeral Home, 2315 Rt 50, Tuckahoe; friends may call one hour prior to service from 12pm-1pm. Memories and condolences can be shared at

I'll miss you old friend. Lot's of memories carrying on and driving around like crazy people in various vehicles (silver Camaro, Firebird, Turf farm crew cab, Mavericks, and many others. Working at the farm building pallets, working on cars at Lords house. Partying like rock stars and being chased by the cops a lot. Tennis courts, Porter's, Tuckahoe beach, The Y, The poles, and so many more great times. You were one of a kind and everyone wanted to hang out with you. R.I.P. chicken and maybe see you again someday !

One of the best. Never without a smile or a smart answer. Scott touched so many of our lives. Sitting on the porch at porters drinking his Canada Dry cherry with a little mixer of course. We have lost another great friend. A member of every family that lived in tuckahoe. Rip Scotty. Tuckahoe never be the same with out you sweet face
