Obituary for Howard W Pascoe

Pascoe, Howard W., Jr., age 91 of Castle Creek, NY, went to be with the Lord on March 11, 2019. Born in W. Wyoming PA to Howard and Mary Ann Pascoe, Howard was a man of many talents and achieved much in his lifetime. He was raised in Cortland NY where he worked after school in his mother’s diner in Groton. After high school, he enlisted in the US Army Air Force during WWII where he spent 4 ½ adventurous years building stories he would one day share with his grandchildren. Once returned to the States, he started his life-long engineering career by graduating from Indiana Institute of Technology. He built many inventions like the first portable printed circuit board radio, and had many patents. His resourceful and intuitive thinking lead to his demanding reputation at booming tech giants across the nation, but not before meeting the love his life, the late Sharon Rose (2017). From Indiana to California, Massachusetts to New York, Howard and Sharon raised 4 children while he worked with Capehart Farnsworth, Xerox, KLM, GE, and many independent government contracts for consulting and research on missiles and radars. Though his work was tiring, he never lost sight of priorities – he was always heavily involved with his family and communities, and put his faith in the Lord ahead of all. His years of service with his church, prison ministry, the Boy Scouts, mentoring, RC airplanes were only a few of his many passions. He also thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors and nature, guns, and computers.

Howard is predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Sharon, and son Michael. He is survived by his daughters, Kimberly (Paul) Garnett, Teresa Pascoe, and Cathy Pascoe (Joe), 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson, and his loving church community. Howard’s family would like to give a special thank you to Howard’s good friend Bill Lane, Pastor Hartwick, neighbors, and Interim HHA who all helped look after him in his final years.

A memorial service for Howard will be held at 11am on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at the at the First Baptist Church of Castle Creek, 1130 Route 11, Castle Creek; a luncheon will immediately follow at the church. Memories and condolences can be shared at www.LangleyLovelandFuneralHome.com.
