Condolences

Condolence From: Michelle
Condolence: My sincere sympathy to you and your dear love ones. May you find comfort in these word at John 5:28&29, "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment." The comfort Jehovah gives is that those sleeping in God's memory will be awaken here on earth. So the resurrection tells us about Jehovah's love and loving kindness. Condolence From: Bill Liddell
Condolence: This was a tough one.. I worked with Dan at the middle school.. We had a great working relationship that developed into a great friendship.. Our sons were surfing buddies.. With me being a counselor, and Dan, the
"yoda". , our discussions about students were awesome.. Dan was one of the coo coo birds like myself who would volunteer to go to Stokes( a trip away from school, in north westeren New Jersey., with @ 70 or more students every year..The group would consist of 7th and 8th grade students . It would be 4 days long, staying in cabins with the students.. Location: Montclair college.. The outdoor learning experience was a treasure that unfortunately is gone.. Dan was one of the Generals that spoke quietly and carried a big stick..His wisdom, kindness, even temperament( if he yelled at a student, the kid definitely was in deep stuff).. Rarely did Dan have to raise his voice..He was a rare individual.A rare bread .. A true Model for any School educator (top to bottom).. Thanks, Dan for being a great teacher, family man, and leader.. A pleasure to know you

Condolence: Mr. Leonard was a really nice man and a great and inspiring teacher. He made History fun. Our children said he was their favorite teacher in the middle school. Our son Chris is now a History teacher. Mr. Leonard touched all of our lives here in Upper Township. Our condolences to his family.

Condolence: I worked with Dan in the Upper Township School District for many years, and always admired him for his integrity, intelligence and sense of humor. Although we taught in different buildings, our paths would cross often as members and leaders of the Upper Township Education Association. Dan was wise, kind and an excellent role model for both his coworkers and students. My sincere condolences to Linda, Damien, Nicole and Greg. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew this fine man.

Condolence: I get tears in my eyes every time I think Of Dan and his passing. I was in the same district as Dan but I was not in his building. I remember being fairly new to the staff, and found Dan to be friendly, yet always professional. My sister, who was the school nurse, always relied on Dan for support and advice. He was a role model as a teacher, father, husband, and community member. Once again, it seems that "The good die young." We will all miss you and we send our love, prayers, and support to your family.

Condolence: I first met Dan when I started teaching at the Upper Township Middle School. Dan was the go-to person. Always there to help anyone. You needed someone to be with you when there were problems with the principal. Dan was there. A flat tire on your car. Dan was there. Lonely boys without a father. Dan was there.
When my girls went to college I posted a note on the bulletin board " I have 3 horses and 1 rider, rider needed no beginners." Dan said, "My wife would like to go." That started a firm friendship with Linda, and between the two couples.
We will miss him very, very much.

Condolence: Dan was an effective teacher and friend to all the students that had the good fortune to be in his class. As a new principal, I respected him for his advice and support. He truly enjoyed his profession and had a positive influence on our students. Thank you Dan for all you did for our kids! Prayers and best wishes to his family.
