Daniel Andrew Wolfgang Leonard, 68, son of Lois Leonard and the late Paul Leonard was born on April 9, 1949 in Pennsylvania. He grew up in many different counties in PA with his two brothers David and Donald. Danny attended college at Bloomsburg University, where he obtained his B.A. in Education. In 1972 he married Linda Lilly and had three beautiful children that they raised together in Seaville, New Jersey.
Danny’s life was one beautiful adventure. He was a best friend, a devoted father, a loving husband, and an inspiring teacher. Danny and Linda lived together in a home that he built. He taught U.S. history at Upper Township Middle School. In the summer he enjoyed surfing and soaking up the sun in Sea Isle City. Danny was an outdoor enthusiast, which started early in life as a boy scout, who enjoyed camping, kayaking, hiking, fishing, and cycling. He passed on his love of the outdoors and sense of adventure onto his children.
After retiring he travelled with his wife, in their fifth wheel, across the U.S. visiting national parks, sandy beaches, and mountain high tops. When he wasn’t travelling, he worked on his home, was a member of the Upper Township Historical Society, and taught his children and son-in-law how to maintain their homes, just as he learned how to do.
Dan is survived by; his mother Lois Leonard, brothers David and Donald Leonard, wife Linda, and his children Damian Leonard, Nicole Zimpfer, and Gregory Leonard.
A celebration of his life will be held at the Langley Loveland Funeral Home, 2315 Route 50, Tuckahoe NJ on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 7PM - 9PM. Memories and condolences can be shared at www.LangleyLovelandFuneralHome.com.
