Condolence From: Thomas Laird

Condolence: I was sad to read of Pappy's passing. My dad, Marion Laird was the engineer on his B17 during WW2. As you may know, they kept in touch, calling all the surviving aircrew on October 10 or each year until dad passed several years ago. I kept up the tradition until this year when I called and discovered the news. Nearly seventy years of contact, in good times and bad. I bet they are sitting up there in heaven, telling old stories and catching up. Your mom and my mom up there just shaking their heads.

Condolence: It was my distinct honor to interview Mr. Weldon for Ocean City American Legion Post 524's Veterans History Project. He was a most interesting interviewee. And his military story was truly awe inspiring.
What a classy gentleman.

I was deeply saddened to hear of his passing.
I am so pleased that I was able to capture his military history on video.
