Obituary for James R. Jackson

Jackson, James(Jim) R., age 72 of Petersburg, passed away Tuesday, April 24 2018. A long time area resident he retired from Cape May County Department of Corrections. He was an active member of Wesley United Methodist Church where he started a community garden. James enjoyed volunteering for Bayshore Center in Bivalve, Family Promise of Cape May County, and was an avid bowler. One of 11 children, Jim always had a funny story to tell. He is survived by his beloved wife Helen, his brother Donald, sisters, Anita Hubbard, Judi Breazile, Virginia Lynch, Lucy Hagadorn and Betsy Schwartz, sisters-in-law Betty Jackson, Carol Jackson, Norma Lee Jackson, Barbara Jackson and Holly Crain, brothers-in-law Barry Wetzler and Al Crain and numerous other loving family. Service for James will be held at the Wesley United Methodist Church 400 Rt. 610 Petersburg NJ 08270 on Saturday, April 28 at 11 AM, with a viewing from 10AM until time of service; burial will be privately held at the convenience of the family.
