Obituary for James F. Cancelmo

Cancelmo, James F, age 78 of Petersburg, passed away on May 18, 2017. He was born August 9, 1938 in Somers Point NJ and lived most of his life in Upper Township. James served as a firefighter for the US Army in Alaska and was in Alaska when it became a state. Also, he served in NJ Army National Guard for 5 years of service.
James retired from Rowan University and was employed as Personnel Assistant. He was a past president, trustee and honorary member for over 60 years at the Cooper Swamp Gun Club, and was an avid fisherman and hunter.
James is survived by his wife of 50 years Theresa Cancelmo (Behl), two children Jean Cancelmo-Cahill (Rick) and Linda Demarest, and 3 grandchildren Rachael and Sarah Grant, and Nick Cahall.
Services for James will be privately held. Donations may be made in his memory to the Upper Township Rescue Squad, 2028 Tuckahoe Rd, Petersburg, NJ 08270. Memories and condolences can be shared at www.LangleyLovelandFuneralHome.com.
