Frances Gonsalves, 98, formerly of Tuckahoe NJ, beloved mother and Grandmother, peacefully passed away in Stuart, FL on May 8, 2014. Born Franizzi Sacco in 1916 in Centerville, Iowa to parents Luigi and Lugia Donato Sacco, she moved with them to NY City. As a dressmaker in Manhattan she met and married Erald Gonsalves and raised three children while living in several NY locations. Upon retirement she settled in the Tuckahoe area of New Jersey where she enjoyed rural farming, raising pet goats, and many seashore activities. She was adept at beading and crocheting, and loved winning card games. Frances was preceded in death by her husband of more than 60 years, Erald; sisters Lenore Sacco and Ermenegilda Scoppa Pagliaro; brother Pierino "Pete" Sacco; sister Agnes Sacco and brother in law Professor Ulderico Sacco; daughter Louise Gonsalves Lee and son in law Charles Lee. She is survived by son and daughter in law Alvin and Peggy Owens Gonsalves of Stuart, FL; son and daughter in law Micheal and Doris Evans Gonsalves of Wilmington, DE; nine grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and three generations of nieces and nephews. Service will be Wed. May 14 at 2:30PM, viewing at 1:30pm, at the Langley Loveland Funeral Home, 2315 Rt 50, Tuckahoe NJ, with burial service immediately following (next to her husband Erald) at Holy Cross Cemetery, Mays Landing, NJ.
